Ours is a challenging yet highly rewarding environment, which makes it the ideal setting for apprentices. You’ll be working alongside some of the most experienced and knowledgeable professionals in the industry, learning about the theoretical and practical side of engineering first-hand and developing your skills in a range of areas. The apprenticeship training programme lasts two to four years, depending on the qualifications you choose to work towards. Your training follows a carefully planned schedule and you are supported throughout, with progress monitored by your assigned learning advisor. As well as helping you to achieve nationally-recognised qualifications, we make sure you develop all the practical skills you need to progress with us.
What does it take to become an apprentice at Dawson Shanahan
- You should be 16 or over and not be in full-time education
- You’ll need a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A* to C
- You’ll need an interest in developing a career in engineering
- You should be keen to work in a team and possess a hunger to learn
